Capturing the image in your mind’s eye
My Approach to Weddings & Events
When filming your wedding or event, my perspective is that I’m meant to help you relive those moments you experienced across the day. I try to incorporate music used in the ceremony, with a special attention to those small moments you might forget years later. I like to make sure guests and attendees are featured in every video, to remind you of the people that were there. I don’t direct anyone what to do, because that defeats the entire point of the video- To capture those good memories, to bring you back to the moments that you want to relive in years future.
My Approach to Advertisements
A video for the purpose of advertisement is different in nature to a video of an event. Often, the person or company creating the advertisement already has a vision in mind. In this case, my job is to be a co-creator, to capture the vision in mind and try to provide useful feedback, comments, and ideas. There’s creativity and art in every video, and advertisements are by no means an exception to this rule.
The Whole Package
Whatever the case may be, my job is to record the event or advertisement and edit it into a video you’ll love. In case you have any questions, I’ve endeavored to answer a few down below. Of course, email me if you have any others!
FAQs
How flexible are you with travel?
I’m always happy to travel to record if need be! The town in which I live is a bit out of the way, so I am more than used to a long drive or a flight to get where I need to go. As long as those expenses are covered, I’m happy to go anywhere.
What music do you use?
That entirely depends upon the nature of your video! If it’s going to be widely distributed, I’ll have to track down some nice copyright-free options. If it’s going to remain offline for the most part, I’m happy to use any song of your choosing. YouTube and other social media platforms can be a bit finicky, so if your plan is to post the video publicly, I’m as flexible as the platform’s Terms of Service.
Is your fee flat-rate or hourly?
With few exceptions, I intend to conduct business entirely on a flat-rate system. As far as I’m concerned, recording and editing the video will take exactly as long as it takes, and my job is to do what I need to make it great.
